Architectural Photography: Sun Studios- Memphis, Tennessee By JB Brookman
Memphis is one of my favorite cities. This is an HDR shot of Sun Studios, the place where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis recorded many of their early hits. Mega producer Sam Phillips owned the place. It is said to be the “birthplace of rock n’ roll.” Since an HDR shot is a combination of 5-7 photos, you can see the ghostly figure of a tourist in front of and on the side of the building. Black History Month: MLK, Civil Rights Museum In Memphis, Tennessee By JB Brookman Photography
In honor of Black History Month, I will share some photos I took in Memphis, Tennessee at the Civil Rights Museum. It is located inside the original Loraine Motel, where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. This gate has part of the speech he gave the night before he died. This is an incredibly powerful place that I have visited many times. Photo © JB Brookman

Concert Photography: LL Cool J At The Key Club In Hollywood By JB Brookman
LL Cool J performed at the Grand Opening of the Key Club in Hollywood on Friday January 29th. Celebrities in the house included Sean Paul and Mena Suvari. I covered the show for Hollywood Icon Magazine. LL blew the roof off the place, performing his hits such as Going Back To Cali and Mama Said Knock You Out. There were at least 50 fans on stage with LL. Photo © JB Brookman 2010
Celebrity/Event Photography: Kobe Bryant At The Laker Championship Parade By JB Brookman Photography
This photo took a lot of sweat and effort to get. Instead of going to the Coliseum, I decided to jump into the sea of fans and get shots along the parade route. Tens of thousands of fans lined the streets and I had to join into the group of sprinting fans and run down alleys and side streets to get 4 or 5 different opportunities to photograph the Lakers. I just happened to get back to the floats as Kobe and his family, along with Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa rode by. Kobe flashed a big 4 for the number of his titles and there you have the photo.
